FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is your tool for uploading and downloading your own files to and from your website "Files" directory. Your files directory is like your "My Documents" on the web.

You would use your ftp account to upload special files or file types you wish to display on your website which cannot be made using Press Articles such as Adobe PDF files, pictures, powerpoint shows, music, etc.

To access your ftp files, first determine what version of the the Websagogo Module you are using. This is located at the top of your Control Center under the Control Center Icon. If you do not have the version identification on your Control Center, you are using a version prior to 2.0. For versions prior to 2.0, you must use the Windows Explorer method shown in number 1 below. For version 2.0, 3.0 or later, you can use either of the two methods below.

To Connect To Your FTP Directory

1. Windows Explorer FTP session:

A. Open "My Computer" on your PC.

B. In the address bar at the top of the "My Computer" window type the following:

ftp.yourdomain.com, then press enter.

D. At this point you are in the "Files" ftp directory of your website. Any files you upload to here would be referenced as /files/yourfile. Example: /files/mydoc.pdf


2. Serv-U Enhanced FTP session:

A. Click the link below.
